Party Crashers Highlight Problem

Three months ago Liberty Watchman sounded the alarm concerning the need to increase security for President Barack Obama.  Threats against the president are up 400% yet serious security lapses continue to occur.  This week Tareq and Michaele Salahi slipped past the secret service to gain entrance to a state dinner at the White House.

They did more than gain access to the dinner.  They shook hands with the President.

Had these two people been assassins rather than reality TV wannabes, a grieving nation would be invoking the 25th amendment right now.

An investigation will hopefully shed light on how this happened.  To the Secret Service's credit, they are taking full responsibility for the breach.  They claim the Salahi's did pass through magnetometers, but they were not on the guest list and the secret service let them pass anyway.  However, there are reports that the White House's social secretary office did not have a staffer present to screen guests as has been the usual practice in the past.

Another example of a White House that doesn't know the first thing about the job?  Perhaps, but the nation should not wait however many months an investigation will take to improve security for the POTUS.  Liberty Watchman again calls for an immediate and substantial increase in the President's security detail, whatever the cost may be.
